Different Approach on the Tulle Skirt-Save/Splurge LINKUP with Co-host

4:00 AM

Hat:  Ralph Lauren (gifted, similar here) // Top:  Cavender's (similar here) // Skirt:  Forever 21 (old, similar here) // Shoes:  Stuart Weitzman (this is my splurge of the outfit) // Earrings:  Rocksbox

Lately I’ve noticed that my style is constantly changing.  Could it be that I’m trying to hold on to my youth?  I feel like once I reach 30 I will have to start acting and looking like a grown up.  But what if I don’t want to grow up?  I’m not ready to be a full blown adult yet.  I’ve been test driving this whole adulting thing for the past few years and I really don’t like it.

I feel like today’s outfit is a little bit of everything.  Young and older, pink and black, girly and tomboy.  It’s almost like when I put on this outfit I was extremely confused with where I was at in life at that exact moment, but somehow it all kind of worked.

I’ve been wearing a lot of boho type looks, loose fitting clothing, aka clothing to cover my excess skin that I’ve acquired over the past year or so.  Never fear, it’s all contained underneath the clothing so until I lose some weight I’ll probably continue to rock the boho style.  Although I will say, I have lost a few pounds and have been getting healthier.

Don't forget to check out yesterday's post here to read about my huge collab with Banana Republic.  It's so extremely exciting!  Now, moving on to the linkup, but first let's showcase your co-host and feature your top 3 most clicked on bloggers from last week!

First I'd like to Introduce your Cohost from Posh Classy Mom!

  1. I love this combination of the girly skirt and t-shirt. I think you look adorable and not at all confused! And, yes, adulating is rough...and it doesn't get any easier...you just get more used to it over the years!

  11. Cute look! I really like the mix of looks in this outfit. That tee is adorable. I can completely relate to the "in-between age" dressing. Too old for certain looks while still wanting to be young and trendy.
Glad we found your link up!

  13. I've struggled with the same issue of feeling like I don't know that I'm quite ready to be dressing like an adult! I'm a little bit everywhere, sometimes I'm super adult-looking, sometimes I could be a teenager. I don't like this unsaid rule that you must dress a certain way at a certain age; I have no plans to conform!

  14. Age is but a mindset, my friend, and I feel we live longer, keep looking younger, for as long as we stop acting our age :) here I am, more than a decade older than you, and I walk around with leather and spikes and everything in between. Utterly unapologetic. And there you are, looking really gorgeous in that palest of pink tulle skirt. LOVE xoxo
